Looking for participants for the multilingual volunteer training course for disaster prevention

This course aims to train volunteers who would support foreign people in case of disaster/ disaster prevention (5 consecutive Saturdays).
Lectures and workshops will be conducted in Japanese.

1st day: February 17 (Sat) 14:00~16:00
 ○Lecture: ”Ota City’s system for disaster preparedness and the role of volunteers” by Ota City personnel
 ○Lecture: ”The actual situation and challenges on support activities for foreign people in case of disaster “by Tomonobu Haga, Center head of Nagaoka International Affairs Center Chikyu Hiroba

2nd day: February 24 (Sat) 14:00~16:00
Interpretation and translation practice in groups (English, Chinese and Simple Japanese)
(Each group will be provided with an instructor)

3rd day: March 3 (Sat) 14:00~16:00
Same as above

4th day: March 10 (Sat) 14:00~16:00
Same as above

5th day: March 17 (Sat) 14:00~16:00

Classroom, Multicultural Society Promotion Center (mics Ota)

Those who can speak Japanese and other foreign languages or those who are interested in supporting foreign people in case of disaster. All nationalities are welcome to join.

English, Chinese and Simple Japanese  8 persons per group
We will have a random selection if there are many applicants.
